Mahwah Resident charged with Drug Distribution

In May 2017, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office were notified of a man in Mahwah connected and involved directly with drug distribution. The individual was identified as Joeluis A. Ramirez, a twenty-six (26) year old resident of Mahwah, New Jersey.

Thanks to an undercover officer of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Ramirez distributed THC hash-oil infused vaporizers to the officer and the drug deal happened in Mahwah.

As a result of the investigation, police officers arrested Joeluis Ramirez on November 29, 2017 at his home in Mahwah. Police officers acquired consent to search his home, found THC hash-oil and a vaporizer pen containing the THC oil, and seized it as evidence.

Joeluis Ramirez is being charged with Third-Degree Distribution of Hash-Oil within 1000 Feet of Don Bosco Preparatory School, Fourth-Degree Distribution of Hash-Oil in a Quantity Under Five Grams, and Possession of Hash-Oil under Five Grams (a Disorderly Person’s Offense). He will be appearing at court in Hackensack, New Jersey at the Central Judicial Processing Court on December 20, 2017.

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
