GREWAL announced the arrests of JOSEPH N. MARTTINE (DOB: 09/12/1965) and ROCCI L. MARTTINE (DOB: 09/21/1987) of 1027 Maple Avenue, Ridgefield, New Jersey on drug possession charges. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Deputy Chief Robert ANZILOTTI, the Ridgefield Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas J. GALLAGHER, and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard GAITO.
In July 2016, an investigation was initiated regarding the distribution of various controlled dangerous substances from the residence of Joseph MARTTINE, located at 1027 Maple Avenue, Ridgefield, New Jersey. On July 14, 2016, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Ridgefield Police Department, and the Cliffside Park Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at the aforementioned residence. During the search, law enforcement personnel located and seized suspected cocaine, suspected heroin, various prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, and nine thousand ninety dollars ($9,090.00) in United States currency. Joseph N. MARTTINE and Rocci L. MARTTINE were arrested without incident during the execution of the search warrant.
Joseph N. MARTTINE was charged with one count of violating N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(1) – Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Cocaine, in a Quantity Less than One-Half Ounce, a third degree crime. MARTTINE was released on his own recognizance pending a court date on August 3, 2016.
Rocci L. MARTTINE was charged with one count of violating N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10A(1) – Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Heroin, in a Quantity Less than One-Half Ounce, a third degree crime. MARTTINE was also released on his own recognizance pending a court date on August 3, 2016.
Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Ridgefield Police Department and the Cliffside Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
