Maywood nurse Radcliffe R. Rose, 51, has consented to the suspension of his Registered Nurse license. The State Board of Nursing filed for his suspension following the May 11 arrest.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wyckoff Police Department had been investigating him for a sexual assault incident in Wyckoff. The alleged victim, a Wyckoff resident, is both mentally and psychically handicapped. It has not yet been released if the victim was a patient of his or not.

The defendant now faces a first-degree charge of aggravated sexual assault. He is currently held at the Bergen County Jail.

Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino released a statement saying, “If these allegations are true, Nurse Rose represents a clear and imminent danger to the public. We could not allow him to continue practicing while these charges are pending.”

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
