Paramus Welder Justin Birdsall Charged with Possessing, Distributing Child Pornography

PARAMUS, N.J. (April 11, 2017) — A Paramus welder has been arrested and charged with child pornography offenses following an investigation by the Cyber Crimes Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Justin Birdsall, 26, of 512 Kendrick Street in Paamus. Birdsall is single and employed as a welder.

A search warrant was executed at Birdsall’s home, 512 Kendrick St., Paramus the morning of Tuesday, April 11 in which items containing images and videos depicting child exploitation were seized.

Further investigation showed that Birdsall was using the internet to acquire and distribute images and videos of child pornography, and was also using a file-sharing program that allowed others to download the same pornographic images and videos.

As a result of the investigation, Birdsall was arrested Tuesday, April 11 in Paramus and charged with one third degree count of endangering the welfare of a child for possessing videos and images depicting children engaged inprohibited sex acts; and second degree endangering the welfare of a child for distribution of child pornography.

Birdsall is in the Bergen County Jail pending an appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court Wednesday, April 12 at 1:30 p.m.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilt by a court of law.
