On August 15th, 2025, the arrest of Quristafer D. Land, age 26, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Quristafer D. Land was charged with first-degree production of child pornography, second-degree aggravated sexual extortion, third-degree sexual extortion, and third-degree impersonation. The arrest and charges against Quristafer D. Land were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Chief Richard L. Jarvis of the Lyndhurst Police Department.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, during April 2025, the Cyber Crimes Unit was notified by the Lyndhurst Police Department of potential acts of online sex extortion. Investigating detectives uncovered online activity on the social media app Snapchat, where an adult stranger had contacted one adult and one child. It was revealed that the individual had used the online chats to instruct the two individuals to take photos and record themselves nude and engaging in sexual activities. The online activity was traced back to a household in Dallas, Texas. With assistance from the Dallas Police Department and the United States Marshall Service, a search warrant was executed at the residence in question on August 14th, 2025. Detectives allege that Quristafer D. Land was the owner in control of the aforementioned Snapchat account in order to obtain and extort sexual content from the victims. It was also speculated that Quristafer D. Land had several other online accounts used for sexual extortion activities, likely with the help of another unknown individual.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Quristafer D. Land are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
