Bergenfield Resident Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact and Child Endangerment

On August 18, 2017, law enforcement were notified of a man named Deangelo Gonzalez having inappropriate sexual contact with a thirteen (13) year old victim in Bergenfield, New Jersey. Deangelo Gonzalez is a thirty-five (35) year old resident of Bergenfield, New Jersey. Law enforcement agents investigated Gonzalez and ultimately arrested him on December 15, 2017 in Bergenfield, New Jersey.
Deangelo Gonzalez is being charged with First-Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)(c), Second-Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, and Third-Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a.
Gonzalez is set to appear at the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey on December 16, 2017. He will be held in the Bergen County Jail until a detention hearing has been scheduled.
All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
