Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. GREWAL announced the arrest of LAMONT HOUSE, JR. (DOB:: 11/19/1991) of 49 Seymour Avenue, Newark, New Jersey on a drug distribution charge. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force under the direction of Deputy Chief Robert ANZILOTTI and the Lyndhurst Police Department under the direction of Chief James B. O’CONNOR.
During March 2016, while working in an undercover capacity in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, a detective from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force purchased four (4) grams of Molly (M.D.M.A.) from Lamont HOUSE, JR. for two hundred twenty dollars ($220.00).
On Tuesday, July 5, 2016, Lamont HOUSE, JR. agreed to voluntarily turn himself in to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for arrest processing procedures. On this same date, Lamont HOUSE, JR. was charged with one (1) count of violating N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5A(1)/5B(3), Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely M.D.M.A. (Molly), in a Quantity of Less Than One-Half (1/2) Ounce, a third degree crime. Lamont HOUSE JR. was released on his own recognizance with a pending court date of July 20, 2016, at 8:30 a.m.
Acting Prosecutor Grewal states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would also like to thank the Lyndhurst Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
