18-Year-Old DaJohn L. Taylor Turns Himself In for First-Degree Murder Charge Following Fatal Stabbing of  Kaiden Brathwaite

In the early morning of June 11, 2023, Wildwood Police Department responded to a distress call regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found 20-year-old Kaiden Brathwaite dead with several stab wounds on his body.

An investigation conducted on that same day revealed that a verbal dispute between two groups of individuals escalated, causing 18-year-old DaJohn L. Taylor to stab Braithwaite and two other individuals before fleeing the area. Later in the day, Taylor was charged with first-degree Murderthird-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and fourth-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

On June 12, 2023, the following day, the defendant went to the Wildwood Police Department and turned himself in. DaJohn Taylor was then additionally charged with first-degree Attempted Homicide and second-degree Aggravated Assault. Since then, DaJohn Taylor was transported to Cape May County Correctional Facility pending Court proceedings.

All charges are merely accusations, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
