On November 6th, 2025, the arrest of Lianu Luis Brown Delgado, age 22, was announced by Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz. Lianu Luis Brown Delgado was charged with second, third, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, third-degree Criminal Sale of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Making/Transporting/Disposing/Defacing Weapons and Dangerous Instruments, and Unlawful Possession of Pistol or Revolver Ammunition. The arrest and charges against Lianu Luis Brown Delgado were a result of an investigation handled by Lieutenant Joseph Oliver, Sergeant David Moore, and Chief Investigator Robert LaPollo all of the District Attorney’s Detectives Bureau; in conjunction with NYPD Major Case Field Intelligence Team Detectives Mike Billotoo, Paul Molinaro, John Schultz, Christopher Thomas, John Uske, Sergeant Gregg Minardi, Captain Christian Jara, and Deputy Chief Courtney Nilan of the Intelligence Division.

According to the Queens District Attorney’s Office, a seven-month long investigation into the purchase and distribution of unserialized firearm components, accessories, and manufacturing tools, allegedly owned by Lianu Luis Brown Delgado, was being conducted by the District Attorney’s Crime Strategies & Intelligence Bureau and the NYPD Major Case Field Intelligence Team. The parts and components being investigated typically are used to make “ghost guns” or 3D-printed firearms. A court-authorized search warrant was executed at Lianu Luis Brown Delgado’s residence that uncovered several ghost guns, a .380-caliber Ruger serialized firearm, nine various firearm frames, two high-capacity magazines, twelve lower-capacity magazines, 100 rounds of 9mm ammo, seven rounds of .380-caliber ammo, and a 3D printer. Law enforcement discovered through the License and Permit Systems database that Lianu Luis Brown Delgado doesn’t have proper licensing to own or possess any firearms in New York City and his own residence.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Lianu Luis Brown Delgado are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
