Two Charged with Murder for Homicide at Clarement Avenue

On September 27, 2017, a man named Richard Farmer, a twenty-five (25) year old resident of Jersey City, was stabbed to death by two men in the vicinity of Claremont Avenue in Jersey City. A second victim suffered stab injuries as well, however they were not life threatening.

Jersey City Police Officers were notified of the incident and were quickly dispatched to the area. When the police officers arrived, they found Farmer on the ground with visible stab wounds to his torso. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Farmer to the nearest hospital, Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The names of the offenders who stabbed Farmer were David Jones and Horace Parker. David Jones is a forty-six (46) year old resident of Jersey City and Horace Parker is a thirty-one (31) year old resident of Jersey City. Jones and Parker have been charged with First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Aggravated Assault, Third-Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Fourth-Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Third-Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana), Third-Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) and Third-Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School.

Another perpetrator, Yolanda Jones, was also involved and charged in this incident. She is being charged with Fourth-Degree Hindering, Third-Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana), Third-Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Third-Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School.

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
