Felix Rojas of Brooklyn, New York, Charged for Attempttng to Rape a Subway Passanger

On May 14th, 2025, the arrest of Felix Rojas, age 44, was announced by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg Jr.. Felix Rojas was charged with two counts of first-degree Attempted Rape, fourth-degree Attempted Grand Larceny, and Sexual Misconduct as a misdemeanor. The arrest and charges against Felix Rojas were a result of an investigation handled by NYPD Detective John Williams of the NYPD Detectives Bureau

According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 7:52 p.m. on April 8th, 2025, the 37-year-old male victim entered the Manhattan-bound R subway car and stayed in the same spot until 10:46 p.m.. At this time the victim smoked a cigarette and then appeared to have lost consciousness a few minutes afterwards. At around 10:51 p.m. Felix Rojas entered the R subway car the victim was riding and sat across from the victim about half an hour later. At approximately 11:21 p.m. the defendant allegedly approached the still unconscious man and feel over the victim’s body while searching him. It’s alleged that the sexual assault began at approximately 11:45 p.m. where Felix Rojas continued touching the man between stations from Queens to Manhattan, taking breaks to stop and sit back down when the train stopped and passengers boarded. At around 12:09 a.m. Felix Rojas allegedly moved the victim’s body to the floor and continued the assault before searching his body one last time at 12:16 a.m. which included removing his shoes. The defendant then exited the subway car and left the station before a MTA employee discovered the victim’s body at the Whitehall Station. EMS rescue medics were dispatched and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. 


The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Felix Rojas are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
