Joseph D. Pietraszewski of Readington, New Jersey, Indicted for Stalking and Violating Restraining Order

On March 27th, 2026, the arrest of Joseph D. Pietraszewski, age 29, was announced by Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson. Joseph D. Pietraszewski was charged with third and fourth-degree Stalking, and fourth-degree Contempt of a TRO. The arrest and charges against Joseph D. Pietraszewski were a result of an investigation handled by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office

According to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Joseph D. Pietraszewski was placed on administrative leave on March 27th, 2026, after making concerning comments about his ex-girlfriend to another coworker. Investigators from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office had contact with the victim who reported that the defendant was seen at several locations they were present at. Subsequently the victim applied for a domestic violence temporary restraining order (TRO) which was granted. Following the TRO being issued detectives discovered that Joseph D. Pietraszewski attached a tracking device to the victim’s car, leading to Hunterdon County SWAT being dispatched to the defendant’s residence. Joseph D. Pietraszewski was taken into custody without incident by SWAT officers on April 10th, 2026.


The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Joseph D. Pietraszewski are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
