On December 7, 2022, 39-year-old Julian B. Hart was found guilty of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, second-degree Sexual Assault, third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for the Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
Following a report made by the victim in 2021, an investigation revealed that Hart sexually abused the victim throughout the period of September 27, 2014, to December 16, 2015. At the time, the victim was under the age of 12. The investigation had also revealed that the defendant was already on Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life at the time of these incidents.
In August 2021, the defendant was arrested and later convicted in October 2021. On June 30, 2023, Hart appeared before the Honorable Richard W. English, J.S.C., and sentenced to 40 years in NJ State Prison. Hart’s sentencing was subjected under the Jessica Lunsford Act.
