Thursday, June 8, two men were arrested in Cliffside Park following a 3-month long investigation of a series of burglaries. Detectives from Cliffside Park, Fort Lee, Paramus, Saddle River, Teaneck, and Tenafly made up a special task force given the recent burglary incidents in Bergen County.

While surveilling an area of Cliffside Park Thursday night, detectives spotted Travis Goins and Tyrone Goins in a vehicle that circled the same neighborhood several times. Not long after the car left, there was a reported burglary in that same area. The vehicle was stopped and the men were arrested.

Travis Goins, 32, of Englewood and his brother, Tyrone Goins, 37, of Hackensack have been charged with two counts of third-degree burglary. They are being held at the Bergen County jail pending further investigations of incidents in the area.

Tyrone has previous convictions from a 2014 burglary. Back then he was charged with possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property, and concealing evidence.

All persons are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
