Odyssey Head of Coney Island, New York, Indicted for Seriously Injuring Three Bystanders in Unprovoked Brooklyn Slashing

On December 10th, 2025, the arrest of Odyssey Head, age 27, was announced by Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. Odyssey Head was charged with first-degree Assault, second-degree Attempted Murder, second-degree Arson, and other unspecified charges. The arrest and charges against Odyssey Head were a result of an investigation handled by detectives from the NYPD

According to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 6:30 a.m. on October 25th, 2025, Odyssey Head and the first victim were aboard the northbound Q train near Cortelyou Road and East 16th Street in Flatbush, New York. Allegedly the defendant used a razor blade to randomly attack the victim, creating a large gash from his lip to his cheek that required several stitches to heal properly. At approximately 10 p.m. later the same day a 53-year old victim was standing on the corner of Foster Avenue and New York Avenue when Odyssey Head allegedly approached him and used a knife to inflict a slash wound stretching from one of the victim’s left eye to his left ear that required 25 stitches to close. The next day on October 26th, 2025, a third victim, age 56, was walking on Newkirk Avenue when the defendant approached him. Allegedly Odyssey Head used a knife to slash across the victim’s neck, narrowly missing an artery. and the wound required over a dozen stitches to close. 

After an investigation was launched looking into the three slashing attacks and uncovered other activity allegedly associated with the defendant. On October 25th, 2025, Odyssey Head allegedly broke into a residential building on New York Avenue and set multiple fires on different floors after damaging property and items in the laundry room on the basement floor. Wanted posters were circulated after the arson incident occurred that led to the identification and arrest of the defendant, police then believing he is the individual responsible for the three stabbings as well.


The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Odyssey Head are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
