Luis Pallchisaca of Richmond Hill, New York, Indicted for Unprovoked Fatal Stabbing Against Subway Passenger

On September 25th, 2025, the arrest of Luis Pallchisaca, age 21, was announced by Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz. Luis Pallchisaca was charged with first-degree Assault, second-degree Murder, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The arrest and charges against Luis Pallchisaca were a result of an investigation handled by Detective Jerry George of the NYPD’s Queens Transit Crime Squad

According to the Queens District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on September 21st, 2025, Luis Pallchisaca was on board one of the 7 trains at the Mets-Willets Point Station when the 25-year-old victim boarded the subway car. The defendant approached the victim from the front before allegedly using what appeared to be a knife to slash him in the throat and stab him in the back multiple times before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received several stitches for puncture wounds, a tube in his throat for his larynx injuries, and he remains in critical condition unable to swallow. Luis Pallchisaca was located and arrested by NYPD officers at his residence on September 24th, 2025.


The Queens District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Luis Pallchisaca are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
