On March 6th, 2026, the arrest of Susaida Nazario, age 44, was announced by New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport. Susaida Nazario was charged with second-degree Bribery in Official and Political Matters, second-degree Acceptance of Receipt of Unlawful Benefit by Public Servant or Official Behavior, second-degree Official Misconduct, and third-degree Theft by Deception. The arrest and charges against Susaida Nazario were a result of an investigation handled by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
According to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Susaida Nazario was a technical assistant at the Department of Children and Families Information Technology Division in Trenton, New Jersey, at the time of the alleged bribes. It’s alleged that the defendant had received these payments between January 2021 and August 2021. An investigation revealed that Susaida Nazario claimed herself to be a DCF caseworker to an individual handling a case under the Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCPP). The defendant allegedly had received payments from this individual in exchange for involvement in the aforementioned DCPP case, in addition to providing the individual with confidential case information.
The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office stated that the charges against Susaida Nazario are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
