On November 3rd, 2025, the arrest of Anarkis Delgado, age 28, was announced by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Anarkis Delgado was charged with first-degree Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and second-degree Being a Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon. The arrest and charges against Anarkis Delgado were a result of an investigation handled by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, on November 1st, 2025, reports of a shooting were made in the area of the 500 block on Pearl Street in Camden, New Jersey. At 11:09 a.m. officers from the Camden County Police Department were dispatched and located the victim, later identified as Raymond Delgado, on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. Raymond Delgado was swiftly transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment, however he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 12:31 p.m. later that day. Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office identified Anarkis Delgado as the suspect responsible for shooting Raymond Delgado, who was confirmed to be his older brother. Later on Anarkis Delgado turned himself in to the Camden County Police Department and was placed in the Camden County Correctional Facility.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Anarkis Delgado are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
