Boston Woman Sentenced to 25 Years to Life in Prison for Fatally Stabbing Man in Brownsville

Some crimes are crimes of passion and some are due to greed and the need to make a quick buck. Yet, there is a special set or group of crimes which one cannot really understand the motive behind them. When you look at them through the prisms of logic and common sense , you really do not know how to place them yet they occur and can be very brutal, chilling and cold. Their victims have their lives or possessions snatched from them and yet no one seems to be able to come to their rescue.

In one of such crimes, the victim a 47 year old man lost his life to a deadly attacker. He was butchered in his home by this very attacker who in this instance happened to be a woman. Facts are hazy about the nature of the relationship which existed between the duo or how the attacker came to be present in the house of the victim.

This 35 year old man, Richard Saunders was brutally murdered in the safety of his home by this woman who records and facts do not tell us her reason or reasons for snuffing out the life of this man. Chivona Huges, the 47 year old attacker according to the facts presented during the hearing and court trials stabbed this man close to 80 times with a knife until he bled to death. She stab continuously obviously not with the intention to just maim but to actually kill the victim.

This woman made mistakes like most criminals always tend to do and left her purse as well as means of identification at the victim’s house. This could very well have been her undoing as the police launched a massive manhunt for her. She was certainly not easy to track down as she fled immediately after committing the crime and was nowhere to be found in New York and its environs.

The law Chief in New York, Eric Gonzales showed and showered praised and appreciation on the Boston Police Department in Massachusetts. This woman fled from New York to Boston while the heat was on and there was this serious hunt to track her down. Using her description and other effective policing techniques, the Boston police were able to track her down and identify her as the culprit and therefore send her back to New York to face trial for the crime which she has allegedly committed.

At the scene of the crime, the forensic team recovered the Knife she used to do the stabbing and when analysis was done it contained both her DNA and the DNA of the victim. This tied her squarely and firmly to the murder scene. She was tried according to the laws of New York and even though the trial took some time she was duly sentenced by Judge Neil Firetog to 25 years in prison. She is a murderer and deserves what she got. The law had spoken and she is going to pay for her crimes.
