Erik Ford, 24 of Brooklyn Convicted of Death of His 7-Week Old Daughter, By Continuously Shaking the Baby

A father has been convicted of shaking and causing death of her own daughter due to severe hemorrhage. A father who is meant to take care of his daughter led her to death, this is how Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson expressed his remorse attitude toward a death of an infant.
The name of the father is Eryk Ford, 24 years of age, and belongs to Brownsville, Brooklyn, revealed by the investigations.

Erik Ford had himself admitted that, on 15th January, 2012, his young daughter, namely Aniyah Ford, barely 7 weeks old, was shaken by him to stop her from crying. When the child did not stop crying, after violently shaking her, the man threw the child in his car seat present nearby. The child`s body got injured and she stopped breathing. After that he kept waiting for 10 minutes and then checked the child. Ford took an additional 40 minutes to call 911. Aniyah Ford was taken to hospital but the child succumbed to her injuries on 8th February, 2012. The medical examiner said that child was suffering from brain hemorrhage and there was blood in her eyes also.

The case went to First Deputy Bureau chief Frank DeGateano and senior assistant District Attorney Lindsay Ashwal of the District Attorney`s Special Victim Bureau, under the supervision of Assistant District Attorney Miss Gregory, bureau Chief , to prosecute.

The father has now been convicted today, of this barbaric act, on 4th October 2016. Following a jury trial before Brooklyn Supreme Court justice Vincent Del Giudice, he faces 15 year imprisonment now.
