On November 13th, 2025, the arrest of Enoch Rosado, age 67, was announced by Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark. Enoch Rosado was charged with first-degree Manslaughter, second-degree Murder, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The arrest and charges against Enoch Rosado were a result of an investigation handled by NYPD Detectives Stephen Doyle of the Bronx Homicide Squad, Kelvin Guillen of the 47th Precinct Detective Squad, and Dr. Terra Cederroth from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner

According to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 4 a.m. on October 22nd, 2025, allegedly an altercation between Enoch Rosado and his roommate 55-year old Miguel Batiz unfolded inside of the Edenwald Houses NYCHA Complex located on East 229th Drive South. Surveillance footage from the night of the incident depict an individual leaving from the premise with blood on their outfit and skin, and detectives allege that the individual in the video footage was Enoch Rosado. Approximately 4 hours after the time of the surveillance footage, Enoch Rosado called 911 to report the altercation between him and Miguel Batiz, claiming that they had got into a fight and that the police should come to the residence to help. Responding officers located Enoch Rosado standing outside near the front door, and once inside they discovered Miguel Batiz suffering from several blunt force injuries to his hands, head, and body. Miguel Batiz was pronounced dead at the scene, and Enoch Rosado was swiftly apprehended before being remanded while awaiting his next court appearance on February 18th, 2026.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Enoch Rosado are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
