On August 25th, 2026, the arrest of Jon Arce, age 28, was announced by Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark. Jon Arce was charged with first-degree Assault, first-degree Attempted Assault, second-degree Aggravated Harassment, fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, fourth-degree Criminal Mischief, and other unspecified charges. The arrest and charges against Jon Arce were a result of an investigation handled by NYPD Officers Pamela Sosa, Jay Weng, Theodore Cecchini, and David Pena, from the 46th Precinct, and NYPD Officer Kimberly Rose, from the 48th Precinct.
According to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 6:00 p.m. on April 11th, 2026, Jon Arce and his ex-girlfriend engaged in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation. This led to the ex-girlfriend sustaining injuries that required treatment at a local hospital. On June 23rd at approximately 10:00 p.m. Jon Arce approached and confronted his ex-girlfriend on Webster Avenue. The defendant then allegedly punched the victim before grabbing her, throwing her onto the sidewalk, and kicking her head. Two bystanders rushed over to help the victim and intervene, however Jon Arce allegedly then pulled out a sharp object which he then used to slash both men.
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Jon Arce are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
