On September 2nd, 2026, the arrest of Tamra G. Lawlor, age 23, was announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. Tamra G. Lawlor was charged with second-degree Vehicular Homicide, fourth-degree Assault by Auto, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Failure to Observe Traffic Control Devices, and Possession of Open Unsealed Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle. The arrest and charges against Tamra G. Lawlor were a result of an investigation handled by the Wall Township Police Department, MCPO Fatal Accident Unit, and Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team.
According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, at approximately 5:20 p.m. on March 5th, 2026, a multi-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of State Highway 70 and Morningstar Road. Officers from the Wall Township Police Department responded to the scene to find three vehicles involved in the collision; a Subaru Crosstrek driven by Tamra G. Lawlor, a Toyota Camry operated by 58-year-old Eileen Ziesmer, and a Nissan Altima operated by an unnamed 51-year-old woman from Brick, New Jersey. All three individuals involved in the crash were transported to the Jersey Shore Medical Center where the defendant and the 51-year-old victim were treated for non-life-threatening injuries while Eileen Ziesmer was pronounced deceased upon arrival. An investigation was initiated by the Wall Township Police Department, MCPO Fatal Accident Unit, and Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team that allege that Tamra G. Lawlor was driving the Subaru Crosstrek while under the influence of intoxicating substances as she drove through a red light and caused the collision.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Tamra G. Lawlor are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
