Kevin L. Jimenez, 30, of Belleville, NJ pled guilty to second degree sexual assault. Jimenez admitted to touching a 12-year-old victim’s intimate body parts for sexual gratification while working as a coach for a youth basketball team. The victim was one of the players of the team.

The youth basketball team was the Amateur Athletics Union (AAU), which held practices in Abundant Life Academy in Nutley and Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange, New Jersey.
“The defendant used his position as a coach to take advantage of the victim which is a betrayal to the victim and the victim’s parents who trusted him,” said Assistant Prosecutor Abdellah, who tried the case.
Jimenez will be subject to Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life after being released from prison.
