On January 5th, 2025, the arrest of Imran Khan, age 40, was announced by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. Imran Khan was charged with second and third-degree Aggravated Assault, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and third-degree Hindering Apprehension. The arrest and charges against Imran Khan were a result of an investigation handled by [Officers/Detectives].
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, at approximately 5:30 a.m. on December 29th, 2025, reports of a shooting were made in the area of Wayne Avenue and Crosby Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. Officers from the Paterson Police Department responded to the scene and located a 43-year-old female victim suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was loaded onto an ambulance and transported to St. Johns University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment. A subsequent investigation was initiated once the crime scene was established, and evidence gathered led to officers alleging Imran Khan as the individual responsible for the shooting. Later the same day Imran Khan was arrested without incident in the area of Bergen Street and 12th Avenue in Newark, New Jersey.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Imran Khan are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
