On June 16th, 2026, the arrest of Jermine Jones, age 33, was announced by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAuley. Jermine Jones was charged with first-degree Attempted Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and third-degree Aggravated Assault. The arrest and charges against Jermine Jones were a result of an investigation handled by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, on June 12th, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. reports of a shooting were made in the area of the 500 block of Chews Landing Road in Sicklerville, New Jersey. Responding officers from the Winslow Township Police Department located a 33-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified to also be from Sicklerville, New Jersey, and to have been acquainted with Jermine Jones. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital via airlift while in critical condition. As an investigation into the incident ensued, detectives identified two crime scenes that insinuated two individuals including the aforementioned victim. Detectives learnt that Jermine Jones had been transported to a hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to be treated for a gunshot wound. Detectives also found and recovered a .45 caliber handgun at the scene, in addition to identifying Jermine Jones as the individual responsible for the shooting.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Jermine Jones are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
