On December 19th, 2024, the arrest of Sayquan Fleming, age 26, was announced by Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. Sayquan Fleming was charged with second-degree Assault, second-degree Promoting Prostitution, third-degree Rape, Sex Trafficking of a Child, Sex Trafficking by Force, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other unspecified charges. The arrest and charges against Sayquan Fleming were a result of an investigation handled by Detective Daniel Bergamini, Sergeant Kevin Kavanagh, Lieutenant Christopher Zizza, Inspector Gary Marcus, Digital Forensic Analyst Lexie Giardina, Human Trafficking Unit Social Worker Raquel Alger, and Assistant District Attorney Audrey Chao.
According to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, on November 3rd, 2025, the 15-year-old victim was lured into an apartment that Sayquan Fleming resided at in the Marlboro Houses in Coney Island, New York. Allegedly once the victim was inside his apartment, the defendant forcibly took her high school identification, purse, and phone, before forcing her into lingerie and transporting her and another female victim to the “Penn Track” street prostitution track in East New York. During her time there the defendant allegedly had her performing sexual favors for patrons between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. The “Penn Track” is a handful of streets stretched from Pennsylvania Avenue to Wortman Avenue and Georgia Avenue where traffickers would frequently bring victims to solicit patrons in exchange for money. It’s alleged that Sayquan Fleming had also posted semi-nude and nude photographs of the victim to a sex commercial website to advertise services. All money generated was made to go directly to the defendant for all victims he allegedly used for prostitution services. Between November 3rd and November 28th, 2025, allegedly Sayquan Fleming had forced the victim to engage in services on Penn Track, in the stairwell of his apartment in Coney Island, and would arrange for a car pickup service to transport her to and from patron’s residences if they wanted the sexual acts done at their homes. Allegedly Sayquan Fleming had assaulted the victim during her time working for him and refused to pay her the proceeds she earned from a patron while forcing her to engage in sexual conduct with him several times. In addition to this the defendant has also allegedly forced the other adult victims to beat up the teen in order to prove their loyalty to him. On November 28th the victim managed to convince Sayquan Fleming to let her leave, then being able to report the entire experience to a school counselor before it was then reported to law enforcement.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Sayquan Fleming are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
