On July 16th, 2025, the arrest of Isaiah Thompson, age 29, was announced by Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark. Isaiah Thompson was charged with two counts of first-degree Assault, three counts of second-degree Assault, third-degree Assault, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The arrest and charges against Isaiah Thompson were a result of an investigation handled by NYPD Detective Kelvin Gomez of the Bronx Robbery Squad

According to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, Lynette Pierce, 36, a Metropolitan Transportation Authority conductor, was on the number six train traveling southwards at approximately 12:20 p.m. on June 10th, 2025. Shortly after the train pulled into the Foxhurst section of the Whitlock Avenue subway station, an unknown man hopped aboard the locomotive, lunged at Lynette Pierce, and used an unknown object to slash at the left side of her face. Lynette Pierce was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital to be treated for her injuries, while needing to receive eight stitches due to having two lacerations from the attack. Law enforcement was able to identify Isaiah Thompson as the alleged assailant from video footage of the incident.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Isaiah Thompson are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
