At approximately 6:29 p.m. after the shooting at King Towers, Jalen Canty and Keywan Goode through text messaging discussed future retaliations against rivals in response to another shooting incident. Jalen Canty had sent text messages containing gang-related oaths, terminology, and slang, including the sentence “I solemnly swear in battle to never run or hide I solemnly swear when the time is right to bust my gun”.
At approximately 1:22 p.m. on August 30th, 2024, Aiden Freeman and Keywan Goode arrived at one of the Saint Nicholas Houses courtyards near West 127th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. Keywan Goode initially fired multiple shots in the direction of a group of bystanders standing in the courtyard before handing the gun to Aiden Freeman, several other shots being fired at the same group by him.
At approximately 4:04 p.m. on September 12th, 2024, Keywan Goode, Aiden Freeman, David Woolridge, and an unnamed co-conspirator met in the area of East 107th Street and Park Avenue near Lehman Houses. An unnamed individual was walking along West 140th Street when Keywan Goode shot at least one bullet as the victim was turning onto Edgecombe Avenue. After the shot the gun was handed over to Aiden Freeman, however a second gun used by two co-conspirators fired shots in the direction of the individual before fleeing.
Allegedly the defendants had also communicated via text messages and group chats to organize and carry out the purchase and exchange of firearms. At approximately 2:52 p.m. on August 22nd, 2024, Jalen Canty and Keywan Goode messaged each other through text to discuss pooling money alongside David Woolridge to purchase firearms the following morning.
