Felix Morel and Miguel Ferreira were arrested and charged with Possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute. The investigation into the case was led by the Bergen County Prosecutors Office.

On March 10, 2020, the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Narcotic Task Force implemented a motor vehicle stop of a Nissan Sentra driven by Felix Morel. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed a hidden compartment in the vehicle’s dashboard. The hidden compartment contained roughly 1,400 glassine envelopes of heroin and over 4,000 empty glassine baggies.

Felix Morel and the other occupant Miguel Ferreira were arrested. Felix Morel and Miguel Ferreira were each charged with one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute Heroin, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2), a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia With Intent To Distribute, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-3, a 4th degree crime. Morel and Ferreira were transported to Bergen County Jail to await their first appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. The charges are accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The Bergen County Prosecutors Office Is under the supervision of Chief Robert Anzilotti. The prosecution into this case will be led by Mark Musella.
