Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz of Reading, Pennsylvania, Arrested in New Jersey for Narcotics Charges

On March 16th, 2026, the arrest of Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz, age 50, was announced by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz was charged with first-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance and third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The arrest and charges against Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz were a result of an investigation handled by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, last month detectives from their High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force received information about a Toyota minivan registered under Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz that contained a large quantity of cocaine. It was reported to the detectives that the vehicle in question was driving in the area of Sixth Street and Penn Street in Camden, New Jersey. Surveillance was established on the minivan in Camden and in Reading, Pennsylvania where the vehicle was registered. After tracking the suspected minivan a routine traffic stop was performed to it on February 27th, 2026, officers noting that Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz was the driver and was wanted in Puerto Rico. It was uncovered that the defendant had been wanted in Puerto Rico for an unrelated murder case, leading to his arraignment while waiting for his extradition back to Puerto Rico. The minivan Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz was driving was searched which led to over 12 ounces of suspected cocaine being uncovered.


The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Domitilo Delgado-Ruiz are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
