Harry Clayton of Ocean Township, New Jersey, Indicted on Narcotics and Weapons Charges

On March 18th, 2026, the arrest of Harry Clayton, age 45, was announced by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Harry Clayton was charged with Possession of More than One-Half Ounce of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute Within 1000 Feet of a School, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Weapon During a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense, being a Certain Person Not to Possess a Weapon, Possession of Hollow Point Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Tampering with Evidence, and Obstruction of Justice. The arrest and charges against Harry Clayton were a result of an investigation handled by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, and Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force

According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, following a two-month long investigation detectives established stationary and mobile surveillance on Harry Clayton on March 12th, 2026. Later the same day the defendant was observed  leaving his residence in Neptune City, New Jersey, in a motor vehicle. Detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office initiated a motor vehicle stop on Harry Clayton in his vehicle. The defendant was ordered to exit the car and while doing so it was observed that he was attempting to hide objects in his pants pockets. After hindering the officers’ efforts to claim the items in his pockets Harry Clayton was arrested without incident and transported to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Approximately 24 grams of crack cocaine were seized off of the defendant during the arrest. A court-authorized search warrant was executed at Harry Clayton’s residence in Neptune City, New Jersey. Detectives uncovered and seized an unspecified amount of heroin, a Smith and Wesson .380 caliber handgun, hollow point ammunition, and $1,800 in US currency. 


The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Harry Clayton are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
