Christopher Ojeda and Dajan Mindingall were arrested and charged in an armed robbery spree. The investigation into the case was led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

In January 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Special Investigations Unit investigated a string of armed robberies that took place at a hotel in Rutherford, NJ and a Spa in Edgewater, NJ. After a thorough investigation, Christopher Ojeda andDajan Mindingall became prime suspects into the case. On February 6, 2020, members of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office implemented search warrants at the homes of Christopher Ojeda and Dalan Mindingall along with a vehicle.

Christopher Ojeda was arrested in Howell, NJ on February 6, 2020. Dajan Mindingall was arrested in Asbury Park, NJ on February 6, 2020. Each was charged with one count of Robbery, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1a(1), a 1st degree crime; one count of Kidnapping, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:13-1b(1), a 1st degree crime; one count of Possession Of A Handgun Without A Permit, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b(2), a 2nd degree crime; one count of Possession Of A Firearm For An Unlawful Purpose, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a(1), a 2nd degree crime; and one count of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(3)/2C:5-1, a 2nd degree crime.

Ojeda and Mindingall are suspected to be involved in a string of robberies that have occurred throughout the state. The investigation in those robberies are still pending. Christopher Ojeda and Dalan Mindingall were transported to Bergen County Jail to await their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. The charges are accusations and the defendants will remain innocent until proven guilty. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s office is under the supervision of Chief Robert Anzilotti. The prosecution into the case will be led by Mark Musella.
