According to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on September 26th, 2016, the victim, 37-year-old Norman Mosley, alongside his girlfriend were inside of their trailer on Alfred Drive in Brown Mills, New Jersey. At this time two masked individuals had forcefully entered the trailer which led to a struggle between Norman Mosley and the invaders. Two shots ended up being fired that struck Norman Mosley during the altercation, his girlfriend then driving him to Capital Health at Deborah – Emergency Services. Approximately an hour after arriving at the hospital Normal Mosley was pronounced dead. Bergen County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood confirmed that the cause of death was from the gunshot wounds to the victim’s head and chest. The investigation led to DNA evidence being collected and tested from gloves found along a nearby roadway. It was discovered that the gloves contained DNA evidence linking back to Kevin D’Costa, Daemen Hodge, as well as Normal Mosley. Court-authorized homicide warrants were secured and issued following the evidence linking the defendants to the murder of the victim.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Kevin D’Costa and Daemen Hodge are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
