Robert L. Morgan, married and unemployed, of East Rutherford charged with Distribution of Child Pornography, Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Robert L. Morgan (DOB: 05/31/1956; married; and unemployed) of 145 Park Avenue, East Rutherford, New Jersey. After an extensive investigation, Robert Morgan has been charged with Possession of Child Pronography, Distribution of Child Pornography, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. . The arrest is the result of an investigation by Chief of Detectives Robert Anzilotti and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the home of Robert Morgan. The investigation was related to videos and photographs of internet related child pornography. The investigation revealed that Morgan was in possession of many videos and photographs depicting prepubescent children.

As a result, Robert Morgan was arrested on May 11, 2017 and charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child: Possession of Child Pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4B(5)(B), a third degree crime; and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child: Distribution of Child Pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4B(5) AII, a second degree crime. Morgan was remanded to the Bergen County Jail with the conditions of no future criminal activity and internet restrictions, pending his appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Jail records show that Mrogan was Arrested and detained in the Bergen County Jail on at least four prior occasions, including in 2000, 2004, 2005, 2007.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
