Russel Joseph, Englewood Cab Driver, Charged with Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment.

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. (April 7, 2017) — A 37-year old city cab driver has been arrested and charged with second degree sexual assault, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal announced Friday, April 7.

The Paramus arrest of Russel Joseph, who is married, followed a joint investigation of the prosecutor’s office and the Englewood Police Department. The investigation was based on a report the Englewood police received Wednesday, April 5 that Joseph had been engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a victim under the age of 16.

The full charges against Joseph, who is currently in the Bergen County Jail with no bail set pending arraignment, are second degree sexual assault by sexual contact, third degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, and second degree endangering the welfare of a child.

All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty by a court of law.
