Kyu Chul Kim of Fort Lee, New Jersey, Charged with Child Endangerment

On March 14th, 2025, the arrest of Kyu Chul Kim, age 45, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Kyu Chul Kim was charged with two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest and charges against Kyu Chul Kim were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Chief Matthew Hintze of the Fort Lee Police Department

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on March 12th, 2025, their Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Fort Lee Police Department about two potential endangered juveniles. Authorities investigated the threat and alleged that over the past three years Kyu Chul Kim had endangered the well being of two children under the age of sixteen. Kyu Chul Kim was located and arrested later that day in Paramus, New Jersey, and held in the Bergen County Jail until his first court appearance. 


The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Kyu Chul Kim are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
