Jonathan E. Rodriguez of Englewood, New Jersey, Charged for Sexual Assault Against a Minor

On March 10th, 2025, the arrest of Jonathan E. Rodriguez, age 35, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Jonathan E. Rodriguez was charged with second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest and charges against Jonathan E. Rodriguez was a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Police Department, and Acting Chief Luke Totten of the Dumont Police Department

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on March 7th, 2025, their Special Victims Unit was contacted by the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency about an alleged past incident of sexual assault on a juvenile in Dumont, New Jersey. Authorities discovered that Jonathan E. Rodriguez had allegedly sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen in the area. Jonathan E. Rodriguez was located and arrested and held in the Bergen County Jail until his first court appearance.


The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Jonathan E. Rodriguez are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
