On August 15th, 2025, the arrest of Kristopher Trela, age 23, was announced by Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. Kristopher Trela was charged with first-degree Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material, second-degree Distribution of Child Sexual Assault Material, second-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material with Intent to Distribute, third-degree Debauching the Morals of a Child, third-degreee Distribution of Obscenity to Minors, and third-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The arrest and charges against Kristopher Trela were a result of an investigation launched by Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, they were contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning Kristopher Trela’s online activity. An investigation revealed that Kristopher Trela would use several online platforms including Discord, Instagram, and SnapChat to message and solicit sexually explicit photographs and videos from underage male victims. Kristopher Trela would assume the false identity of an underage female and would send sexually explicit content to the young men, before requesting them to send back videos of themselves taking part in lewd acts. Kristopher Trela would allegedly trade these videos off to other adult men.
The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Kristopher Trela are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
