Timothy G. Schilling was arrested and charged with both Possession and Distribution of child pornography. The investigation into the case was orchestrated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On January 24, 2020, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit implemented a search warrant of the home of Timothy Schilling. He resided in two locations, one in Dumont, NJ and another in Bergenfield, NJ. The investigation revealed that Timothy G. Schilling used the internet to view and download approximately 6,000 digital files depicting sexually explicit images of underage children.

According to the Complaint, Schilling also shared approximately 1,000 files online. Timothy G. Schilling was arrested on January 24, 2020 and charged with one count each of Possession of Child Pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b)ii, a 2nd degree crime; and Distribution of Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(a)iii, also a 2nd degree crime. Timothy Schilling was transported to Bergen County Jail to await his first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. The charges are accusations and the defendant is innocent until proven guilty. The Bergen County Prosecutors Office is under the supervision of Chief Robert Anzilotti. The prosecution into the case will be led by Mark Musella.
