Elijah B. Ervin, Shaheed L. Ervin, Earl T. Johnson of Willingboro, New Jersey, Charged for Murder in Connection With Fatal Shooting

On September 23th, 2025, the arrest of Elijah B. Ervin, Shaheed L. Ervin, and Earl T. Johnson, ages 33, 39, and 29, was announced by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. Elijah B. Ervin, Shaheed L. Ervin, and Earl T. Johnson were charged with first-degree Murder, first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. The arrest and charges against Elijah B. Ervin, Shaheed L. Ervin, and Earl T. Johnson were a result of an investigation handled by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, Willingboro Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit, Philadelphia Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, reports of a shooting were made in the area of Paddock Lane and Poppy Turn at approximately 9 p.m. on August 10th, 2025. Responding officers from the Willingboro Township Police Department located and identified the victim as 43-year old Bruce Hall Jr., pronouncing him dead at the scene as he was presumed to have gotten shot while sitting in a parked pickup truck. Elijah B. Ervin was located and arrested on August 12th while Shaheed L. Ervin was apprehended on August 26th, both of them being arraigned to the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Earl T. Johnson was located and arrested on September 17th, 2025 and placed in the Curran-Formhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, stated that the charges against Elijah B. Ervin, Shaheed L. Ervin, and Earl T. Johnson are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
