On April 23rd, 2025, the arrest of James T. Reilly, age 63, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. James T. Reilly was charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography, and third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest and charges against James T. Reilly were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on April 23rd, 2025, their Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at James T. Reilly’s residence. The warrant stemmed from an internet child sexual abuse investigation. The investigation and search warrant uncovered that allegedly James T. Reilly used his internet access to view, download, save, and distribute photos and videos depicting juveniles in sexually explicit content. James T. Reilly was promptly apprehended after the execution of the search warrant.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against James T. Reilly are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
