On May 2nd, 2025, the arrest of Kurt A. Hildenbrand, age 62, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Kurt A. Hildenbrand was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography. The arrest and charges against Kurt A. Hildenbrand were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on April 30th, 2025, their Cyber Crimes Unit cooperated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to begin an internet child sex abuse investigation. This investigation allegedly uncovered that Kurt A. Hildenbrand was using his internet access to view, download, and save items depicting minors in sexually explicit content. Following the discovery of this information, Kurt A. Hildenbrand was located and arrested in Paramus, New Jersey, on May 2nd, 2025.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Kurt A. Hildenbrand are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
