On April 10th, 2025, the arrest of Jose G. Sanchez, age 52, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Jose G. Sanchez was charged with third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest and charges against Jose G. Sanchez were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Chief Michael Dillon of the Allendale Police Department, and Sheriff Travis Sumption of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on March 21st, 2025, their Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Allendale Police Department of an alleged case of sexual assault on a juvenile that took place in Allendale, New Jersey. An investigation into the incident revealed that allegedly Jose G. Sanchez sexually assaulted a minor under the age of 16 in November 2024. Jose G. Sanchez was promptly located and arrested in Berryville, Virginia, before being put in custody in the Clark County jail.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Jose G. Sanchez are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
