On March 18th, 2025, the arrest of Dequan Cedeno, age 35, was announced by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. Dequan Cedeno was charged with second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree sexual-contact. The arrest and charges against Dequan Cedeno were a result of an investigation launched by Chief Matthew Finck of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Chief Michael Dillon of the Allendale Police Department.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, on March 15th, 2025, their Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Allendale Police Department about a potential sexual assault that took place at the Hand and Stone Spa in Allendale, New Jersey. Authorities alleged that during a message Dequan Cedeno had inappropriately touched and sexually assaulted a female customer. Dequan Cedeno was located and arrested in Allendale, New Jersey, later that day, and was held at the Bergen County Jail until his first court appearance.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the charges against Dequan Cedeno are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
