On May 14th, 2026, the arrest of Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez, age 35, was announced by Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark. Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez was charged with first-degree Manslaughter, second-degree Murder, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The arrest and charges against Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez were a result of an investigation handled by NYPD Detectives Anthony Caltabiano from the Bronx Homicide Squad, Anthony Taccetta of the 52nd Detective Squad, and Anthony Romero of Bronx Warrant.
According to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, sometime during the afternoon of March 28th, 2026, Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez and her boyfriend, 35-year-old Ramon Vasquez, were arguing in front of their residence on 3210 Webster Avenue. During the altercation the defendant allegedly slapped Ramon Vasquez before leaving the area. At approximately 9:45 p.m. that night Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez returned home before another argument between herself and Ramon Vasquez ensued. Allegedly during the fight the defendant pulled out a butterfly knife and stabbed the victim several times including once in the chest. Ramon Vasquez was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office stated that the charges against Dulce Dayana Hernandez Jimenez are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
